A new train service will offer one-way tickets from London to Edinburgh for £15 to encourage air passengers to travel by train.
The new company called Lumo will start journeys from October 25.
For the first weeks, Lumo will run four trains a day between London King’s Cross and Edinburgh Waverley.
The lowest price for a single to Edinburgh will be £14.90, the highest will be £69.
The company claims that 60% of all fares will be less than £30 and that the new trains are 100% electric which will significantly cut carbon emissions, especially when compared to flights between London and Edinburgh.
You can book your tickets on Lumo’s website.
