Each year, the Legion invites the nation to unite to commemorate the Sunday of Memory.
On Sunday 10th of November 2019 at the Whitehall Cenotaph, there will be the National Service of Remembrance.
Beginning at 11:00, the ceremony will honor the service and sacrifice of the armed forces, British and Commonwealth veterans, allies who fought alongside them, civilians and women involved in the two world wars and subsequent conflicts.
We will remember them.
Every year the nation joins together to make sure that nobody is forgotten and to remember and honor those who sacrificed themselves to guarantee and protect our freedom. The Remembrance Day (or Armistice Day), occurs every year on November 11th on the occasion of the armistice signed between the allies of the First World War and Germany. The ceremony will take place on Sunday 10th November.
Where and when
The ceremony begins at 11:00 in Whitehall, exactly at The Cenotaph, SW1A 2ET.
