The Crown Estate and Westminster City Council have unveiled plans to sustainably transform Regent Street, for a greener and healthier West End.

The work, which will be finished before Christmas, is designed to deliver improvements for safety, accessibility, and air quality, with the the first measure being wider pavements.
The traffic will also be reduced to a single vehicle lane in each direction, including cycle lanes and new cycle parking hubs.
Also sustainable planting will be included in the work, offering more greenery around the area helping to improve air quality.
