According to scientists from the UK Fireball Alliance (UKFAll), the meteor was likely to have been a small piece of an asteroid entering the Earth’s atmosphere.

The UK Meteor Network said that the fireballs are usually brighter than normal meteors and have a magnitude of -4 – similar to Venus.
