For The First Time In Its History Notting Hill Carnival Has Been Cancelled

For the first time in more than 50 years Notting Hill Carnival will not take place due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.

Notting Hill Carnival 2020 Cancelled

The Notting Hill Carnival is an annual event that has taken place in London since 1966 on the streets of the Notting Hill area of Kensington, each August over two days Sunday and Monday.

The board of Notting Hill Carnival Ltd. said: ‘Notting Hill Carnival was founded to bring people together during trying times, and we intend to continue that legacy. We are working towards an alternate NHC 2020 that we hope will bring the Carnival spirit to people from the safety of their homes, and make them feel connected and engaged.’
