The installation of neon lights by artist Chila Kumari Singh Burman, which was chosen to create Tate Britain’s annual winter commission, opened last week to mark the festival of Diwali.

Burman recreated figures from mythology, including Hindu goddesses and Indian queens and warriors, as well as installing the om symbol, snowflakes and lips.
The installation was designed as part of the Diwali Festival of Light but will continue to light up Tate Britain until 31 January 2021.
