Did you know that in London there is a cafe that used to be a urinal in the Victorian era?

We are talking about Attendant Coffee Roasters, a unique cafe of its kind located in Foley Street, a stone’s throw from Oxford Circus.

In this bar you can literally sit and have a coffee where people used to pee!

The old urinal was built around 1890, mothballed in the 1960s, and stood idle for more than fifty years.

After two years of planning and restoration, at a reported cost of £100,000, and a deep clean it is hoped, it has been transformed into this beautiful cafe, which opened in 2013 retaining the original Doulton & Co porcelain urinals and original Victorian floor tiles.
