The British Museum is finally reopening on Monday 17th of May with a number of measures and changes to help keep everyone safe.
To visit the museum you will need to book a free timed ticket in advance, as there will be reduced numbers to ensure visitors can maintain social distancing, and face coverings are required of course.
As for previous reopenings after past lockdowns, there will be a one-way route around the ground floor galleries which will allow visitors to experience amazing objects from ancient Egypt, Greece, Rome and Assyria, to then move to Africa, Mexico, North America and the Enlightenment gallery.
Hand sanitiser stations can be found throughout the Museum and extra cleaning measures have been introduced.
